General and across the board

  1. 🙅‍♀️ Respect each others’ needs and boundaries - use common sense, and be aware of your surroundings to understand if someone else or a group of others are uncomfortable with something.
  2. 🗣️ No hate speech or exclusion - self-explanatory. Please screenshot, audio-record and report any instances of these violations.
  3. 👩🏻‍⚖️ Judgement-free zone - we all come from different walks of life, so please be understanding and put thought into your responses when interacting with the community members around you.
  4. 📚 Keep it relevant - if you’re in a group call, be mindful that others in the group may want to continue talking shop. Keep non-UX topics low to maintain the group’s interest, and also to maintain the overall group’s integrity of being a UX meetup!

Peer collaboration

  1. 🧠 Be mindful when seeking collaboration - not everyone is open to collaboration, and there is no space for forced involvement.
  2. 🛠️ You are responsible for your own work and progress - while this community serves as a space to uplift you and empower you to do your best work, it’s not here to do the work for you. Acts of blaming others for your own lack of progress are not welcome, and we ask that all UXers take discretion when choosing the level of involvement with projects and collaborations they participate in.
